Here are some of the knits that earned this knitter a knighthood (or… things I made before I bought the domain!)… work-in-progress…
Many of these are knitted using needles and yarn bought from charity shops. Now that I can actually knit, I buy good yarn for making proper gifts… also my stash is festooned with quality yarns given to me as presents! Thank you lovely people 🙂
Teeny Whales
Great quick knit to keep the fingers busy…

Bluebird of Happiness
Bit of a grisly end, probably my fault for stuff it with nice viscera-coloured yarn!
Quite a complicated one – done mostly on a long flight (can’t remember when/where) – involving short rows, picked up stitches etc. Trial by fire, but a really nice result.
Late 2016?
Koala
Love the way the ears work on this fella! My first “make pieces and stitch together” piece.

Baglan hat (Fairisle)
Trying to force our friends’ hands with settling on a name for their imminent baby via hat gift!
Used a nice simple hat pattern (pattern on ravelry). Added lettering by creating a “pixellated” image using Paint.Net. Yes, that’s Arial 😉 Fairisle (i.e. carried the yarn behind) Embroidered red flower.
May 2016.
First time with DPNs and knitting in the round.
Messy, loose, and sloooow… and before I’d learned about doing ribbing with smaller needles etc, but a fun first go! Much of this was done in Australia and on the way home. Have yarn will travel.
